Entiana Osmenzeza
was born in Berat, an ancient village in southern Albania. Since she was a child she has been fascinated by the Balkan gastronomic culture, rich in ethnic influences. At a very young age she moved to Italy, to Turin, where she graduated from the hotel school, at the same time, she practiced in some restaurants of the city. The meeting with Gualtiero Marchesi, an authentic icon of food restoration, made her discover the world of haute cuisine.
Chef
She continued her career working in some prestigious Italian and French restaurants. In this period she collaborated with Lidia Alciati, and especially with Fulvio Pierangelini, undisputed genius of Italian cuisine, whom Entiana recognizes as his teacher. Always with Pierangelini, she works as executive chef at Verdura resort Spearhead of Rocco-Forte Collection.\r\nSince December 2011 Entiana is the executive chef of the Se·sto on Arno restaurant, the legendary roof top terrace of The Westin Excelsior Florence of the American Company, Starwood Hotels \u0026 Resort, from which you can enjoy a spectacular and exclusive 360 ° view of the whole city of Florence, with a breathtaking view of the Arno river and the hills that frame it.\r\nAt Se·sto On Arno Entiana offers a signature cuisine faithful to tradition but cheerful, colorful and rich in ethnic nuances that has received an immediate and growing success with critics and audiences.
Life
She moved for a period to Noma in Copenhagen, awarded several times as the best restaurant in the world.\r\nNovember 2015 challenges the great restaurant with a very ambitious and new project for the Florentine square.\r\nShe opens Gurdulù, a double challenge with the pregnancy in progress.\r\nGurdulù receives immediate positive feedback from customers and from the national and foreign press. Continuing her work in the kitchen, Entiana chooses to devote herself totally to her duty as a mother. She moved with her family to the Marche region where she decided to embark on her own adventure: Osteria IME, a dream come true.
